Jackson Mtui:
Part of the Chagga tribe, he was born and raised on the slopes of Mountain Kilimanjaro (Marangu village). He started on Mountain Kilimanjaro as a porter, after 2 years become an assistant guide and in one more year worked his way up to head guide. His bright smile, love for Tanzania and enthusiasm about his homeland are contagious with travelers. Jackson has climbed Mountain Kilimanjaro over 125 times and Mountain Meru over 35times.
He is a licensed Mountain Guide and holds a Certificate in Wildlife Management and Flora and Fauna of East Africa.
Jackson is a Certified First Aid Responder from Tanzania Red Cross Society, and is fluent in English and Swahili.
